About this event

Lent is that privileged time of the year when “the Church unites herself…to the mystery of Jesus in the desert” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 540). During the season of Lent, we join Jesus in His fast in the desert by our own acts of penance, and by this union with Him, we share in His triumph over the temptations that He experienced at the hands of the devil.

This past year has felt like one extended Lenten season; many people have experienced challenges due to the pandemic and the time of isolation and quarantine that comes with it. Join the NH Diocesan Council of Catholic Women and Fr. Ryan Amazeen as we explore how the traditional disciplines of Lent can help us to overcome some of the temptations associated with the difficulties of a pandemic, and how the circumstances of the pandemic can deepen our Lenten experience.
